Completing my LLM in International Commercial and Competition Law at the University of East Anglia Law School was an invaluable experience because the program connects textbook education with practical legal education that cannot be learned from textbooks. It is hard to find an environment that allows you to gain both simultaneously, and this program differentiates itself because it organically has this connectivity.
This program gave me the opportunity to experience different dimensions of the legal field through discussion-based modules in which I was encouraged to engage with my international classmates on global, legal issues. from other important fields such as sociology and psychology.

In pursuing my JD, the law school prepared me to be both effective and ethical in the practice of law in a rapidly changing social, political, and economical, interconnected world. I believe that the law is not black or white - but that it is an art. The art of lawyering is when clients come with their stories and we utilize our legal tools to paint their stories into legal masterpieces.  The following are activities I was involved in during my three years in law school: Advanced Dispute Resolution Clinic; Texas Mediation Training Certificate; Certificate of Excellence in Legal Research; Board of Barristers Negotiations Competition; International Law Society; Longhorn Bar Association Vice President; Texas Young Lawyers Association

Graduating with a dual J.D./MBA provides the opportunity to flexibly work across both the public and private business law sectors. This degree supplements my legal training with invaluable skills not taught in law school, such as: leadership, fund/asset management, organizational behavior, and teamwork. Equally, general counsels in corporate fields require background knowledge of the corporation’s infrastructure in order to be able to successfully consult on and anticipate the legal issues that may arise.
